1967 Camaro 350/290
HP with a 5 speed
I am a previous Auto Technician with over
15 years experience (back in the 70s/ 80s). I planned to replace my
new 350 engine myself which I had purchased from CrateEngineDepot. It involved
installing a new 5 speed Tremic Transmission kit. This was interesting
because it was going into my 1967 camaro super sport convertible.
However, after meeting your technicians and service writing staff it
was clear to me I didn't have to do it myself, these guys are car nuts
too. I couldn't do a better job myself, I am very happy with the decision
to save my winter in the garage. Please tell Frank my technician Mike
the service writer and can't forget Joe in parts for his magic THANK
YOU! This is an incredible team you have!

My car is a 1968 Camaro,
equipped with a 406ci small block Chevy, and Turbo 400 trans. The car was
brought to its current condition about 7 years ago using only original GM Parts.
It currently runs in the mid 11 second bracket with the nitrous still
unused at the track.
Thanks to all the guys at www.CrateEngineDepot.com who helped me get the factory and performance parts
I needed to build the car the way I wanted it.Thanks for your help.

"Old Chevy's never die. They just get Bigger and Better" or so Matt of McHenry, Illinois says about his 1989
full size Silverado Blazer.
Under the hood lies a Chevy crate 330 HP engine from CrateEngineDepot.com of
Arlington Heights, Illinois. There are a number of upgrades that Matt has installed on this engine from a upgraded TBI spacer,
high output coil, 8mm Taylor wires, 160 amp alternator, dual Optima batteries, Flow Tech shorty headers
flowing into a 2 1/2 inch pipe to two Hight Flo catalytic converters then out through Flowmaster two chamber mufflers.
In order to fit 36x14.5x15 Mickey Thompson Baha's on 15x14 Bart beadlock wheels, the suspension was
custom made using 12" front and rear leaf springs from AB springs, Grand Rapids, Mi. On each corner
there is a Sky Jacker shock and dual steering stabilizer. To accommodate the correct pinion angle, the Chevy 10,
front axle was cut and trued. Inside the 411 Yukon spool. The rear axle is also a Chevy 10 bolt, cut and trued with
Detroit Truetrac from Randy Ring and Pinion, CA. For additional support, trusses were added to each axle from Go Rhino.
Of course every trucker has to have an awesome stereo system and Matt has installed a 1,000 watt Kenwood sound system with 10 speakers.
You can definitely hear this Chevy coming. The only other interior changes are an Autometer tach, 3' tube roll bar and trail
ready gear.
The custom paint job was done by Crash One of Crystal Lake, Illinois. Exterior accessories include a steel cowl
hood, front pre-runner bar and two 8" and 5" trail lights from Pro Comp, a Trailblazer 17 light bar on top
and a Lund visor. For the summer months, Matt takes the fiberglass top off and goes topless or when the
weather goes foul, he uses a custom made soft top courtesy of Richmond Canvas, Richmond Illinois.
Notice the license plates, "PIGGY BK". That says it all. Matt has certainly broken his piggy bank
customizing this Chevy.Special thanks goes to friend,
Bret, for all his help and patience. |

"2001 Corvette C5 “Viper Hunter"
No Supercharger, no turbocharger, no nitrous, just stock
tires, and an old driver still turned 11.71 and 116.65 MPH at Spring
Grove.
New heads, camshaft, air intake, and CORSA Performance exhaust
system. 13” front rotors, 12” rear rotors, and a Z06 clutch. All
engineered and installed by the “Performance Experts” of
CrateEngineDepot.com
Zero service incidents of any kind since
rebuild. Not one drop of oil on the engine or on the ground.
The new brakes saved me from a collision 2 weeks after their
installation. While I was only going 35MPH another vehicle
turned left in front of me from the right hand lane and I was 15
feet from the car and still stopped in time to avoid the collision.
Braking in the car can only be described as “unbelievable”.
I recommend the “Performance Experts” of CrateEngineDepot to anyone
wanting the highest quality workmanship and results when seeking
added performance in their vehicle. If you want good “old
fashioned” service and quality the “Performance Experts” of
CrateEngineDepot will exceed you expectations.
